It was delicious, nicely decorated, but a bit too hot on the terrace. Communication within the team was initially a bit shaky, but the service team made every effort to improve once the error was made known.

If you want to avoid convenience food and enjoy freshly cooked food in a friendly atmosphere, then go to Pastis in Saarlouis and choose the menu of the day. It's expensive, but you'll be completely satisfied.

After a brief downturn, Pastis is currently hitting its stride. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with unusual combinations that combined to create a truly sumptuous culinary experience. Exquisite venison ragout with za'rar, grilled beetroot and horseradish beetroot dumplings, or ox cheek à la bourguignonne with delicate onion chutney, and for dessert, a reinterpreted pavlova with passion fruit and lemongrass sorbet on mango coulis—a definite highlight. We highly recommend a visit to what we consider to be the best restaurant in Saarlouis, with outstanding service.
