Superb quality food. Very well presented and tasty. Very attentive host and waiting staff. Very good pricing structure. Excellent value for money.

We were recommended this restaurant and it was amazing! We really indulged in the French food and French atmosphere. The waiters and cheese girl were all very nice and were also able to help us out in English. It is not cheap, but we had an amazing experience!

By chance I visited in L'Escargot d'Or in 2012. We were recently travelling from Monte Carlo to Reims and needed somewhere to stop over. We choose St Ettienne simply so we could go to L'Escargot d'Or again. It was a risk given that 8 years had passed since my last visit. However, L'Escargot d'Or did no disappoint. The welcome and service was great. The food was the best on a 4000km trip around France and Monaco. It is not the cheapest place to eat but excellent value for money. I wish it was close to where I live in the UK.
