Procida is a small island in the Bay of Naples, which has always existed in the shadow of the more famous nearby islands of Ischia and Capri. People often call it &quot;the island between Ischia and Capri&quot;. 
Procida has been the filming location of the famous movies &quot;The Talented Mr. Ripley&quot; and &quot;The Postman&quot;. Just like in the movies, Procida has pastel-colored houses, street-lined cafes and narrow streets, as well as historical sites, wild nature and almost deserted beaches. 
Procida is located 14 miles off the coast of Naples. Ferries and hydrofoils depart daily from the city&#39;s two piers, Molo Beverello and Porta di Massa, and from Pozzuoli in the north of Naples. Depending on whether you take the faster hydrofoil or the slower ferry, you will reach the island in 40 minutes to an hour. You can also depart from Ischia, a 15-25 minute sailing.
