Vanity Cafe

Well, the Walter Francesco was awesome. Prices ok but a botte of wine was 18, and that is too much, but then they told me that is not correct and it's 20. The prices of the food is alittle high and the coperto of 2.50 pp i not normal. So, one and done, we will not be back.

The Vanity Cafe is not just a bar, behind this name lies an amazing cuisine, we had dinner for two, my wife and I, we were welcomed warmly right away, first by the waitress, then by the chef, who came to the table and gave us an explanation of the origin and quality of the ingredients, always with a smile. The location is very nice, a well-stocked wine list and a menu for all tastes. We chose to eat fish, I tried a raw appetizer that included 2 red prawns, 2 purple prawns, 2 scampi, a lobster and 3 oysters, the chef also decided to surprise me with 3 tartares, 2 tuna and one salmon, prepared in an exceptional way with an extra virgin olive oil. excellent quality, a few drops of lemon to enhance the flavor and a few sesame seeds, all exceptional, my wife instead tried a traditional appetizer, again fish, all excellent, salmon, seared tuna with sesame seeds, octopus salad and a very fresh boiled fish. Then we had 2 first courses, a cacio e pepe with mussels and lime, I would not have expected the taste to be so harmonious, very flavorful, due to two foods with a strong flavor (mussels and pecorino), and the lime that in addition to giving an exotic touch gave the dish a magnificent aroma, my wife had the risotto with shrimp and apple, also here a dish prepared with great experience, bringing out all the flavors from all the ingredients, a bomb of flavors. We followed most of the preparation of our dishes from a large window that divides the room from the kitchen, we were able to see the commitment and passion of the chef transform into true works of art. The thing that surprised us the most was the price, compared to the quality of the food we consumed, we thought we would pay much more. Everything was fantastic, we will return as soon as possible to try new dishes from this truly amazing chef. Thank you for having us.
