Cozy atmosphere, dishes full of reflections and flavors, unforgettable local wines from centuries-old lands with pure and exquisite tastes to accompany your dishes as well as intimate services meeting your needs 5/5, and this, throughout our stay.
Lovely place, super excellent service and spectacular food… an experience to do whenever you have the chance.
While clearly confirming the great talent and technique of the young starred chef, I highlight the exaggeration of the prices even for a place of this kind. Even more so, if we consider that we are talking about a farm owned by the property, with no rental costs (think of a similar restaurant in the center of an expensive metropolis) and with products (fruit and vegetables) of own production and therefore not purchased on the market. Furthermore, on the total price for two people complete tasting menu (342.00), not even the attention to offer a final bitter (8 euros x 2), especially knowing that it was a birthday. In short, discounts are out of the question, but it is a bad habit of the starred probably due to company policy or to give themselves an unnecessary tone of superiority. Of course, we appreciate the free gift for all the customers of the small pastry shop. In any case, I would have expected, in addition to the wines of their own production (which are not lacking but after all we are in the Cirò area), also a bitter/distillate of their own making since we are talking about a farm of excellence (among lemons, oranges, mandarins, wild fennel, etc. etc). The location is very suggestive, private, intimate, refined (the strong heat of this period however was felt despite the area being immersed in greenery). Good level staff, attentive and professional, but a less rigidity - in general and without losing selectivity and atmosphere - would not hurt even in similar contexts a bit too set on protocol and etiquette (this aspect also applies to all starred restaurants). The road to reach the Tenuta is a little bumpy, out of the way and complicated (especially in the dark and for those who are not from the area). A special greeting goes to Rocco, the Maremma shepherd: without a doubt the most instinctive, natural and simple of the hosts. We have tested several starred kitchens and I have even returned to some of them, but frankly I don't know about here...we'll see!
starred restaurant romantic atmosphere beautiful location exquisite food everything exceptional.
