Asiatisches Restaurant Jasmin

Today was Mother's Day, so the restaurant was quite busy. Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly, and the food was served within a reasonable timeframe. The dishes are freshly prepared, which contributes to their excellent taste. The fact that rice is added to the price of the main course is perhaps a little unusual, making it a bit expensive. Also, no plum wine or other "goodies" are offered with the bill.

The prices are a little higher than you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. There is no plum wine included in the bill. But the food is excellent and the portions are very large. We sat in a large room with round tables that seated 8 people. The atmosphere was almost festive. It is worth mentioning that there are dishes on the menu that you would not find anywhere else, such as frog legs or tripe or duck tongue.

The wait for the food was reasonable; it wasn't crowded, which made the ambiance quite pleasant. The service was very friendly. Interestingly, the price was a deciding factor in the portion size. The 8 Treasures with Duck was considerably smaller than the 8 Treasures without Duck. The quality of the food was excellent. One negative aspect was that, unlike in other Chinese restaurants, plum wine isn't distributed when paying the bill. Incidentally, they do serve dishes that are unusual for our taste, like beef tendon or intestine stew.

According to the staff, the reservation tool doesn't work at this restaurant. So why do I reserve online? We only got a seat based on the available space.

The food is an experience. Presentation and taste are excellent. The Peking duck is a dream. Even if the restaurant is perhaps €2-3 more expensive than others, you'll understand why when you eat. No heartburn or anything like that. I suggest ordering a variety of dishes and sharing them if you're dining with a larger group. You won't be disappointed. I'd go back anytime.
