Canoe is one of Atlanta's last great restaurants. We have eaten here about 5 times in the last few years (we don't live in Atlanta) and each time it has been great. The restaurant is located on the beautiful Chattahoochee River. In the warmer months it is the best outdoor dining in Atlanta. The chefs have changed a few times but Canoe never disappoints.
Had a business lunch here as clients wanted to come here. Went here for dinner a few weeks ago and it was good. This time I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Maybe it was the menu or maybe it was because I wasn't rushed this time. I had a spring roll with lettuce and it was very good. I also had a crab cake which was equally good. I would recommend this as a good place for lunch.
Seriously the best place in Atlanta! Great views of the river and good food is the best combination for any restaurant. This time we went to Atlanta Restaurant. I am not ashamed to admit how much I love this place! The outdoor seating is incredible.
We recently went to Canoe with another couple. They had been there before and loved it, so we were very interested in going there before we arrived. However, the evening was a letdown. The service was fake; we felt as if the waiter was doing us a favour by bringing us food and drinks. The food was ok, but not worth the price. We also felt that the food selection was limited. They have a nice setting and a beautiful building, but we are not in a rush to go there again.
