I stayed in Wanning for a week and had almost done my homework. I originally planned to go to Boao next, but because of the regional control of the Boao Forum for Asia, the transportation was not very convenient, so I went to Wenchang first. I just caught up with the launch of the "Queqiao-2" relay satellite. I was really lucky! 1️⃣ About accommodation: Because I arrived in Wenchang at 5 or 6 pm on the 19th, and the rocket was launched at 8:30 am on the 20th, the accommodation in Longlou Town was already expensive and there were no rooms at this time. I finally chose to stay in Dongjiao Coconut Grove. In fact, you can also see the rocket launch here, but it’s just a matter of distance and the degree of completeness you can see. If you go there specifically to watch the rocket launch, book a hotel earlier, but it won’t be too cheap. If you just go there to play on weekdays, you still stay in Longlou Town, because all the attractions are nearby, and the room rates are expensive except when the rocket is launched, and the rest of the time is very cheap. The town is very simple, with only one big main street, and food and accommodation are basically concentrated on this main street. If you want to go to Dongjiao Coconut Grove, it is recommended not to stay there, because it is not very convenient to eat. If you still want to go to Wenchang City, I think it is best to live in Yanjiang Road, Wencheng Town in the city. First of all, this place is very convenient to take the bus to the city attractions, or to drive to various attractions. It is also close to several check-in attractions because it is not big. And there are many hotels here, with various price ranges, and it is also convenient to eat. 2️⃣ About watching rockets I didn’t go there specifically to see it, but I just happened to catch it. It was launched in the morning that day (if you want to see it specifically, friends must know the date and time of the launch in advance). So we set out at five in the morning to find a free viewing location, because many intersections will have traffic control in advance, so we must come out early. At about six o'clock, we found the location near Chuntao Village Committee, Longlou Town. At this time, there were not many people. We quickly stood in the best position and watched the rocket launch at 8:30. Although it was only a short ten seconds, it was really spectacular! Very exciting. If you encounter a large rocket launch, you can watch the rocket in Qishui Bay. 3️⃣About sightseeing The popular ones are the rocket-themed scenic spots, and the natural landscapes are Tongguling, Stone Park, and Qishui Bay. Because the weather was bad on the day of watching the rocket, I didn’t go to Tongguling, but I went to Stone Park, and the photos were pretty good. By the way, there is a Daddy Tea called Meiquan Chinese and Western Tea Garden on the main street of Longlou Town. I strongly recommend the eggplant stuffed with meat snack, which is a must for sweet and sour lovers. The refreshing Qingbuliang opposite is also good, cheap and large, with pure coconut milk, and you can choose the sweetness. Wenchang City went to the Confucius Temple and Qilou. The Confucius Temple is not very accessible, and the Qilou is just a small commercial street. It is recommended to try Wenchang’s fried and Jieying Qingbuliang. This Qingbuliang is said to retain the characteristics of the original Qingbuliang, but I didn’t catch up. It’s a pity. Can any friends try it for me first? There are also the Daddy Teas on Yanjiang Road. As for the taste, I can only say that each has its own characteristics, which is not particularly amazing.
