I drove there from Washington, DC. The scenery along the way was nice and the journey was not far. The moment I stepped into Williamsburg, it was like I got into a time machine and returned to the United States in the 18th century. 🏠For accommodation, I chose the Williamsburg Hotel, which is very close to the old city and can walk to those historical attractions. The architectural style and interior of the hotel are full of colonial charm, and the staff are also very enthusiastic. Strolling in the hotel garden at night, it is quiet and comfortable, and I feel that all the fatigue of the day is gone. 🍔For food, I strongly recommend The Cheese Shop! Their sandwiches are simply my favorite. The bread is crispy, the meat and vegetables inside are very fresh, and with the unique sauce, every bite dances on the tip of the tongue. There are also a variety of cheeses to choose from. For a cheese head like me, it is simply heaven! I usually have breakfast at Aromas Coffeehouse, Bakeshop & Café. Their cinnamon rolls are soft and sweet, and the coffee is rich and mellow. After eating, I feel energetic and start a wonderful day! 🎈 If you want to play, the historical area must not be missed! Walking on the cobblestone streets, there are old buildings on both sides. From time to time, you can see staff in ancient costumes. For a moment, you will really wonder if you have traveled through time. You must visit the Governor's Palace to truly feel the political atmosphere of that era. The College of William and Mary is also great. The campus is full of history. It is worthy of being the second oldest university in the United States. Bath Garden is also beautiful. When I went there, the flowers were in full bloom. It was super photogenic to take pictures inside. Sometimes there would be outdoor concerts. Listening to music and admiring the flowers in the garden was so enjoyable! Children who are interested in history must go to the Yorktown Battlefield, which witnessed important moments of the American War of Independence. When I visited the military museum, the historical relics and materials gave me a deeper understanding of that period of history. I also took a boat tour of the York River. It felt great to feel the wind and the scenery on the shore. 🛍For shopping, I recommend Merchants Square. There are various specialty shops here where you can buy many interesting souvenirs. Handmade small ornaments, vintage jewelry, local books and special foods, I really want to take each one home! Williamsburg is really a charming place with history, food and beautiful scenery.
