I have loved this dish since I was a child. Therefore, even after leaving the Yi ethnic group-inhabited area in Yunnan Province, I still can't forget this favorite that has been rooted deep in my heart since childhood. Every time I return to Yunnan, I will look for the Yi flavor. The taste of this place in Yuanjiang is very authentic.

On the way back to Kunming from Xishuangbanna, I passed by Yuanjiang and came here to have lunch and rest. This restaurant was recommended by a friend, who especially recommended the stewed beef and homemade sausage. The beef soup was oily and not as delicious as what we had in Xinping Gasa. There was only beef and offal in the soup, no cowhide. The homemade sausage looked very fat, but it tasted good after steaming. I didn't finish it and took it away as a snack on the road.

The crucian carp was delicious, hot and sour. The steak was served after being cut into thick pieces and blanched. It was really hard to chew, not to mention chewing. I took it home and boiled it twice before I could barely chew it. It really trained my jaw muscles. I'd try other dishes next time. The Yi ethnic group's Dai cuisine is not good.
