Xinjiang, which is called the Western Region in ancient times, is an important passageway of the ancient "Silk Road", a corridor for the integration of the migration of various ethnic groups, and a region where the "one-in-one multi-cultural" culture and East-West civilization have blended together. Since ancient times, it has been an inalienable part of the motherland. People of all ethnic groups living in this land live in harmony, Together, we have developed, built and defended the frontiers of the motherland, created a splendid culture and promoted the progress of historical civilization. In 138 BC, the emperor of Han Wu sent Zhang Shu to the western region, and the Western Han regime established ties with the city-states in the western region. In 60 BC, the West Han regime established the Western Region Hufu in Ulei (now in Luntai County), and since then the Western Region has been officially listed in the Han Dynasty map. In the later Qing Qianlong period, it was renamed Xinjiang (meaning the new return of the hometown), and in 1884, Xinjiang Province was officially established, and the provincial capital Dihua (now Urumqi City). On September 25, 1949, Xinjiang was peacefully liberated and the People's Liberation Army entered Xinjiang, which opened a new era of Xinjiang's historical development. On October 1, 1955, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was established, and the capital was Urumqi City (Mongolian meaning beautiful pasture), which has since opened a new chapter in the history of the common unity and struggle of all ethnic groups and common prosperity and development.
