Photos of Perak Cave Temple

Perak Cave is located in the suburbs 6 kilometers north of Ipoh City. It was built by a Chinese monk in 1926. The cave is built on the mountain and is about 122 meters long. It is a limestone cave. Legend has it that the monk found the cave when he passed by and meditated in it for 20 years until he died in the cave. In the main cave, there is a sitting statue of Sakyamuni, and there are 40 Buddha statues. There are more than 100 murals on the cliff walls, including the eighteen arhats and the Tang Sanzang pictures of pilgrimages from the West.
