Gordon's Wine Bar Gordon Wine Bar (47 Villiers Street) The oldest wine bar in London, founded in 1890 near Charing Cross, on the north bank of the Thames. After entering the door, going downstairs is a big cellar, because Gordon sells very good wine and the wine is not too expensive!
It’s a place worth a visit if you are around. Service is great. Guys know what are they doing. Amazing selection of wine and cheese. The atmosphere is nice. Visited few time’s and always had a great time.
A wine cellar remodeled bar, not bad. The wines inside are all made in-house. Many people stand up and drink. The wines are delicious. The vintage is a little bit, but the environment is very good and the atmosphere is also very good.
A good bar, the wine is ok.
This is the oldest wine bar in London. The bar opened in 1890 and was the residence of the diary writer Samuel Pepys in the 1780s. Over the past 120 years, the decoration of the bar has hardly changed-wooden walls, yellowed newspaper clippings, old clocks, gorgeous antique cabinets, and old wine barrels.
