I have lived near here for over 5 yrs and never went due to rumors. recently a friend of my husbands stated how good ti si now and he is always there. We took a chance and went with the kids and my parents. we were pleasantly surprised with the GREAT service and food. Our waitress Reyna was AWESOME and friendly. The owner greeted us and quickly set up a table for our party of 6. This is our new favorite spot and so close to home.

Latin Mix

This is not fine dining; but it is the place we go to, over and over, when I don&#39;t feel like cooking. We call a few friends and meet there for a casual, fun time. I highly recommend the Dolphin Reuben. My husband gets a burger usually. The chicken wings are tasty. We also get the smoked fish dip for starters. It&#39;s usually packed (and noisy) but it&#39;s a friendly place, so it&#39;s OK to share one of the long tables with other patrons.

Must agree with me since I have been here twice in past week. First time we were going to make black beans and rice with andouille sausage so stopped by to get a takeout of a couple of orders of black beans. Take out window was very friendly, order came and included buttered garlic bread, less than $5. Sunrise Cafe in Tavernier has better beans but Latin Mix beans were good. Yesterday we stopped for lunch and split a Cuban club sandwich and fries, under $10. Service is great food is very good, has a nice saltwater aquarium. Just a pleasant place to eat lunch. We are in the area til March so I think we will explore their menu further. Breakfast tomorrow. Friendly people, good service, good Cuban cuisine.

This place feels like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Bar top was not clean. Table was very wobbly. Menu had around 20 pages. Many items on the menu were unavailable (no surprise for a ridiculously large menu). Ordered a grilled cheese thinking they can&#39;t possibly get this wrong. I was given a sandwich stacked with something like 6 or 9 slices thick with cheese. It was just a pile of cheese and of course I couldn&#39;t eat it all. Latin Mix fell far below expectations.
