Quiet, elegant environment with entertaining menu choices for three, five, or eight course, prix fixe dinners. Trout and herring starters excellent and wonderfully presented. Duck and pork entrees also superbly cooked and presented. Fine selection of wines by the glass and aquavits
Foie gras ice cream is too special. If you want to go to AQUAVIT, I suggest you make a reservation. The area of the restaurant is not very large, we booked it later, so there was no waiting, the inside was basically full
Recommended, one of the top three Nordic dishes in New York.
The seasoning as a whole follows the Nordic method of heavy smoking, and respects the tradition of the use of various herbs, such as the extensive use of elderflower leaves, flowers and fruits.
The most famous dessert-Bird's Nest, is a mix of ice cream, chocolate, flowers and various plums, which is amazing.
Most reviews will talk about how fantastic the service and food is. I''ll be brief on that note.
I went to this shop with my friends last week. I heard that the cuisine in it is mainly Nordic, so I came to try it. Because it is a Michelin restaurant, although it is only one star. But the service must be perfect. After arriving there, I found that the service was also expected. What impressed me well at first was the decoration. I prefer those simple and clean designs that do not require a lot of complicated decoration. In my eyes, what is simple and pure is what catches my eyes, and this shop fits my taste very well. I am eating Nordic cuisine here, because I tried it for the first time, so I may not be used to some of the combinations and flavors, but overall it is acceptable. Quite suitable for friends with light taste to try. This dining experience still left a good impression on me.
