Wonderful ambience. Focus is on the good quality meat. Veal cheek was melt-in-your-mouth good.  Ossobuco, on the other hand, was chewy and stringy.  For antipasti I had great sea anchovies with confit tomato and butter. Small detail that lowered the class of the whole meal was the fact that butter was served in a single use grocery store looking container. It seemed that the chef did not care to take it out and put on a plate in an attractive swirl. Just slapped it the way in came - in the original container.

Beautiful location, very nice looking restaurant. Good, but not great, service. The food was varied in quality. The &#39;pici cacio e pepe&#39; was really good, the steak was decent, and the salad and side dishes were horrible (for 5 euros I got a bunch of old lettuce, and 4 carrot shavings. no dressing, no other ingredients). The free &quot;amuse bouche&quot; was nice. So was the wine. Overall a little expensive but still a nice experience with the view. General note about all Tuscan restaurants we encountered:The &quot;comes with the meal but will cost you money&quot; bread is dreadful (just don&#39;t eat it)

There ist one word to define it FANTASTICO!We have been here twice, because we love this restaurant. Service, quality of food, wine list and the unbeleavable view fron the terrace ist UNFORGETABLE!Whenever we will return to Il Caveau, be sure we will be back - Grazie de tutto, the Austrians

The setting is stunning, the staff are friendly, the food outstanding and the building is very interesting. Thank you. Because it is fabulous, it is very busy .

Ho deciso di cenare ieri sera in questo ristorante, basandomi sulle recensioni dei clienti. Vi consiglio di fare altrettanto 😍. Il locale all&rsquo;interno &egrave; piuttosto raccolto, la musica soffusa sottofondo crea una atmosfera rilassante, le sale scavate nel tufo sono bellissime e caratteristiche. Il personale &egrave; cortese, sveglio e gentilissimo. E per finire la qualit&agrave;: in due abbiamo preso un tagliere con selezione di formaggi, salumi e marmellate. Poi due filetti ai porcini con contorno di friarelli e patate arrosto. Il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino rosso locale. I decided to dine yesterday night in this restaurant, based on customer reviews. I recommend you do the same 😍. The room is rather nice, the underground music creates a relaxing atmosphere, the rooms in the tuf are beautiful and features. And to finish the quality: in two we took a cutter with a selection of cheese, salses and marmelade, then two filets to pigs with a contour of fries and a potato roast, all together with a great local red wine.
