Introduction
Whistler Olympic Plaza, located in the center of Whistler's main village, was the award plaza for all Whistler events at the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. After the game, it was transformed into Whistler Olympic Plaza, which became an excellent place for local residents and tourists to rest, picnic and watch outdoor performances. In winter, the square is transformed into an ice skating rink and a snow park.
As one of the main venues for the 2010 Winter Olympics, Whistler has set up the Olympic Plaza, proudly displaying the five-ring logo, the main image of the emblem - Inuit stone piles, the Olympic flag, etc. A unique children's playground and a large lawn are under renovation and are not open for the time being.
Our hotel is near the Olympic Square, but our guide always calls it Pink Rope Square. I searched it and found that it is actually the Olympic Square. The sponsors can call it other. Free breakfast and ice cream on Sunday morning make it crowded. I don't know if it's worth visiting, but it's quiet (if nothing happens), and there's a lot of shade.
It's also a world-class ski resort. I visited three years ago and I want to go again.
