There are a lot of children in the fountain in the square, and there is a market passing through the city gate. There are several alleys selling local products and crafts and other shops. The Victoria Hotel used to be a British office in Tunisia.
Victoria Square is located in the center of Christchurch, New Zealand. It was originally called Market Square and Market Square. Its notable landmarks include the statue of Captain James Cook, the statue of Queen Victoria, the HL Bowker Fountain and the Poupou on Victoria Square. In addition, it also uses the oldest cast iron and stone bridge in the country, which is now called the Maigancao Bridge.
If you enter the medina from Ave Habib Boubguiba then you will cross this square. There is a fountain, the Royal Victoria Hotel and often street entertainers to amuse passersby.
I disagree with some of the comments made by others here as this square is surrounded by very good buildings with great architectural looks to them - I believe that this area is worth a look
Nice square right outside Royal Hotel Victoria at the end of Avenue Habib Bourguiba. And it is also at the edge of the lively and intersting shouk. Great place for people watching.
Actually this square is the entrance of the Medina, so visit the Medina = visit the square. A fountain and a Royal Victoria Hotel is all you can find there, so I have my doubt if this really qualifies...
just a square where you will pass anyway when you visit the medina / souk, as it's the main entrance. An old gate, a goodlooking hotel and a fountain. That's it.
