The Vessel originally opened in March 2019 and quickly became a new Internet famous spot for New Yorkers. Unfortunately, after a few people jumped from the structure, the "Big Pine Cone" was closed indefinitely from January 2021. Now some good news! After three years, the Vessel has reopened on October 21, 2024. This time around, a series of safety measures have been taken.
