The warship, also known as "Old Iron", is a U.S. Navy warship with a long history. It is one of the six original warships authorized to be built by the Navy Act. Its sturdy oak hull seems to be able to repel attacks, which earned it the nickname of "Old Iron".
Great Learning Experience
We didn’t originally have this in our plans and are so glad we stopped. It is such a great museum and tour. The sailors were so nice to answer questions. It was a lot of great learning.
