If you go to Carew Castle then you have to stop and look at this
This is a fine Celtic cross in remarkably good condition. It is in front of Carew Castle and is certainly worth spending a few minutes looking at it before seeing the castle and the tidal mill.
The viewing of the cross should be included as part of your visit to the castle, tidal mill and possibly the pub. Include the mill walk around the lake and you have a cracking day out.
This is situated right next to the Castle and you can't miss it. It is something to look at and move on and although it has history it is not riveting. It certainly isn't something you would travel...

This is an 11th century celtic cross. So the history of this is quite remarkable and here it still stands.
