I was at this hotel for 8 days. Good food, not far from the airport, near the railway. There is a large shopping center nearby. Hohhot, formerly known as Kweisui, is the capital of Inner Mongolia in the north of the People's Republic of China, serving as the region's administrative, economic and cultural center. Hohhot is a relatively small city by Chinese standards, about the same size as Birmingham (the UK’s second largest city). Hohhot’s size means that it offers a wide range of amenities without feeling overcrowded and makes it possible to travel everywhere by bike or taxi. Surrounded by grasslands, the air quality is very good. The city itself is located on a plateau about 400km west of Beijing and has its own international airport. Hohhot’s location makes it the ideal place to come if you wish to experience the ‘real’ China, while at the same time being within touching distance of Mongolia. #skiadventure

We cycled there from Dalad. It is a beautiful grassland however a lot of the attractions inside are not really maintained well. About 2 hours is enough for visiting. It is worth to have a look at the lake in the grassland there as well.
