The Maria Monastery was built between 1930-1940, located on a small hillside. After the division of North and South in 1954, a large number of refugees from the North gathered here. Before the arrival of North Vietnam in 1975, there were 300 nuns here, taking care of the orphanage and kindergarten. Today, the nuns are still taking care of disabled children here. They sell handmade tourist products for charity. What's more beautiful than the monastery is the kind heart of the nuns.
