The sea god in the fountain stands on a high base in the middle of the octagonal fountain, surrounded by mythological figures and Cupid. But the statue is actually a replica, the real thing is kept in the National Museum of Italy

The statue of the sea god in the fountain has been damaged many times, dating back at least to 1580. And unfortunately, the damage has continued until recent years, with the focus on human intention. In recent years, surveillance heads have been installed. Because of the damage, the authentic statue is now in the National Museum, and instead it is a 19th century imitation.
