ChinaMexGirlBuy your tickets in advance! I heard someone saying they had waited 2 hours before going in! Go early to enjoy viewing everything you can. Definietly worth visiting, and don't forget to take picures of the river while your upstairs, and the dome.

Marie MonnierOne of the most amazing Cathedral I had the chance to visit. There is so much details and attention put in the place you'll never be disappointed. The ceiling is breathtaking and the size of the monument is huge. If you are in Florence you HAVE to walk inside and enjoy this historical place.

Art Museum
LC大人麻麻The Florence Academy of Fine Arts has become a holy place in the hearts of artists, scholars, tourists, and students all over the world because of its collection of the David statue of Michelangelo, the great Renaissance master. The visitor flow around the statue of David will not be less for a moment, but it is still much better than the visit to the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. After watching David up close, there are other sculptures by Michelangelo in the Academy Art Museum, some of which are like unfinished works, but actually present a scene of a desire to break through.

Angel LunaIf you like food, this is a must stop. You will find all the traditional Italian food you need - including wine, limoncello, olive oil and tripe. Yes, tripe. This is the best location to get the best introduction to Italian food and great people.

Cindy PainCross over the Ponte Vecchio and head to the Pitti Palace, go beyond the palace to the entry to the garden (shorter lines and 1 euro) There you will find beauty in every direction. Walk amongst the flowers, fountains, and statues. Sit and feel the sun on your face. Take a breath and soak in the peace in the midst of a busy city.

Florence Travel Tips

About Florence

Florence was an artistic and cultural center of the Renaissance. The historic center of Florence has numerous great buildings and has already been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore (Florence Cathedral) is absolutely stunning to behold. The Ponte Vecchio has become a unique sight on the Arno River due to the many art, jewelry and souvenir shops lining the bridge. So many pieces of art have been collected by the major art galleries that it goes beyond measure. Go to the Uffizi to see astounding masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci and Giotto di Bondone, and enjoy Michelangelo’s original "David" at the Galleria dell'Accademia. After worshiping at the altar of humanity's priceless art treasures, you should go looking for some delicious local specialties. Lampredotto sandwiches and Bistecca alla Fiorentina are definitely part of an essential gourmet experience in Florence.
