Yuebo - Guangdong Provincial Museum
The Guangdong Provincial Museum is located at No. 2 Zhujiang East Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China, in the southern part of the central area of Zhujiang New City on the new city axis of Guangzhou. It mainly exhibits Guangdong's history, culture, art, and nature, with history, nature, art, and temporary exhibition halls.
The recommended ones to see are the "Guangdong Historical and Cultural Display" exhibition hall and the Chaozhou Woodcarving exhibition hall.
The Guangdong Historical and Cultural Display exhibition hall is one of the three basic displays of the museum, with the timeline as the main line, divided into four parts: the source of Nanyue, the world of sailing, the continuation of the past, and the beacon of the Cantonese sea.
The Chaozhou Woodcarving Art Exhibition is divided into source, production, art, utensils, and appreciation. The exhibits not only include gold lacquer paintings, Tu Dashou screens, and round carved crab baskets, but also unique shrines, pavilions, palanquins, incense burner covers, and food boxes.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum's exhibitions are free to the public, and a full-time segmented real-name reservation system is implemented for visits, which can be reserved on the Yuebo ticket WeChat public account.
The transportation is quite convenient. You can take buses No. 18, 886, 669, 293 and get off at Xiancun Road South Station, or take buses No. 40, 407 and get off at Guangzhou Opera House West Gate Station. Or take the Metro Line 5 to Liede Station Exit D or take the Metro APM Line to Guangzhou Opera House Station.
But there are regrets this time, I didn't see the Xinyi bronze pot that is the treasure of the museum. But it's normal, this is also in line with my usual character
Large and lovely museum. Has free entry but do have a photo of your identification, if not the real thing. Shares grounds in an open park near the opera house. Truly very ambient. The dossier works for some exhibits, definitely need more than one day to not be overwhelmed by the crowds, size of exhibits, or slow cafe service.
I made an appointment in advance for the Guangdong Provincial Museum of 10:00-11:00 in the applet. I took a taxi to 10:45. The free tickets on the same day can be queued in together. I feel that the queue will take 1 hour. The on-site paid exhibition can be directly entered but the tickets are sold out. Special people go directly to the service cabin to apply for tickets. Each tube has a regular explanation, the first floor rents a voice guide, 20/bit, the induction is not very sensitive, you need to manually enter, the overall effect is not bad. The 3rd floor, the 3rd floor mezzanine, the fourth floor has ceramics, wood carvings, costumes, Xingtai, culture, folklore, biology, ocean exhibitions, etc. The whole is still very good-looking, I feel that it is worth it, if you listen to the explanation, it is estimated that you have to go shopping for a day, very tired. You can buy a card stamp 38/book, on the 2nd, 3rd floor, 3rd floor mezzanine floor a total of 9 chapters, and some cultural and creative sales, you can stamp this book. There are rental VR glasses on the 3rd floor, and there is a bio-hall explanation, but it feels that you can't experience it with the headset. The black in the hall is not very convenient. There is a lot of content and I can't hear it, 50/person. There is a cafe on the 1st floor, hot water, seating and bathroom on each floor, rolling ladder and straight ladder.
Guangdong Museum is located at No. 2 Zhujiang East Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. It is located in the south of the central area of Zhujiang New Town on the central axis of Guangzhou New City. It was built in 1957 and officially opened in 1959. The new museum of Guangdong Province was laid the foundation in December 2004 and completed in 2010, covering a total area of 6.7 10,000 square meters. It is the only provincial comprehensive museum in Guangdong Province and a national-level museum. Guangdong Museum mainly exhibits Guangdong history, culture, art, nature, and set up historical museums, natural museums, art museums and exhibition halls.
The museum is very large, including history and culture, natural resources, crafts (ceramics, wood carving, end-to-end) and other exhibition areas. Especially recommended is the natural resources exhibition hall, there is a display of Guangdong ecology, and there is also a net red marine animal area, which can be comparable to other professional natural museums in provinces and cities! Visit suggestions: 1. Open at 9 o'clock in the morning, no need to queue. You need to queue up when you enter the door late! 2. The museum restaurant sells boxed lunches, and there are quite a lot of people. It is recommended to eat off-peak. 3. It is recommended to go to the natural area (more people) first, and then go to the more distinctive historical and cultural area and wood carving exhibition hall. The tour time is arranged for 3 hours. The location of the museum is very good, you can go directly to the Guangzhou Tower and Huacheng Square.
We didn't go far enough to take our kids to see all kinds of antiques
Be sure to make an appointment one day in advance! Visiting is free! The museum is relatively large, it is recommended to set aside half a day to go slowly! But some museums need to spend money, but this depends on yourself. If you like it, you can go and see it, the tickets are not expensive. You can also eat something, the experience is still good!
