A superb view point near the border between Akita and Aomori Prefecture on national route 101
Original Text
Near the northern end of Akita Prefecture, after passing Hatahata Onsenkan, the national highway detours to the mountain side and avoids the valley of the Koiri River, but finally crosses the valley with a high iron bridge. You can see the Koirigawa Bridge on the JR Gono Line on the sea side, and you can see trains such as the slow-run resort Shirakami against the beautiful sea. On sunny days, you can see the Oga Peninsula and Mt. Kanfu far away. Photos of the Koiri River in the four seasons are exhibited in the parking zone at the foot of the north side of the bridge.
