The beach is beautiful, the wharf is closed. Beware of local tane who drive at you down wharf road...tourists aren’t welcome by everyone and might receive some abuse.

Check the road on foot first
After heavy rain a day earlier, the final bit of road to the wharf was looking somewhat worse for wear. We decided against continuing and reversed back along it.

Lovely spot!
This is a the wharf equivalent of a ruin. When we were there it was closed off. However the surrounding scenery is lovely - the Bay, the trees growing down to the water's edge and ther sea itself. We ...
