Big cycad
Not far from Matsumura Historical Museum, beside the path to Tenmangu shrine, there is a big cycad tree. According to the explanation, it is about 400 years old. So, at the time Hirado enjoyed its pro...
A large sotetsu near the Matsuura Historical Museum. I was surprised at the surprisingly thick trunk because it was 400 years old. It's amazing that it's been here all the time.
It is a street that is one back from the Dutch Shokan Street in Hirado, and this area is a trading mansion that was prosperous at that time, and the large sotetsu tree there still remains, and the branches are stretched in all directions. There are pillars supporting the trunk. It is a giant tree that makes you feel the flow of time and is powerful.
There is nothing in particular, but it is a tourist spot that you can see while passing by by car. It was too big and it would collapse without support, so I supported it with a pillar. It is said that if you put an iron knuckle at the root of the large sotetsu, the toothache will heal, but if you do that, I'm sorry for the large sotetsu, so let's stop it.
At first I didn't know it, and I thought it was a twisty sotetsu. I was surprised that it was 100 years old for the first time after reading the information board. that's all.
