My trip this year started in Thailand. I've been here many times, but I always enjoy coming back. Thailand offers a variety of attractions, and I have Thai friends who show me around to local favorites. This time, my friend took me on a food and drink tour in Bangkok and then to an island not far from the city. We drove from Bangkok to Laem Bali Hai Pier and took a speedboat or ferry to Koh Larn, knowing my love for the sea. Koh Larn is stunning with its clear blue waters and beautiful beaches. I was impressed by the scenery and atmosphere. There were many activities to enjoy, like snorkeling, squid fishing, and various water sports. The island also has lovely cafes and delicious seafood restaurants. We had a great time dining and drinking. The next day, it was time to fly back. I picked up some souvenirs at Duty-Free, focusing on Thailand's famous fruits like durian and mango. There were many products with mango and durian flavors. I got a little souvenir. One of the items I got was a King Power Mango Wafer. It was tasty and easy to eat, but the mango flavor was subtle. I also bought a King Power Durian Roll, which was very delicious and addictive (maybe because I love durian!). My family enjoyed it too. Another interesting purchase was ElepTea Thai Tea, which comes in three flavors. The orange box contains the original flavor, which is a famous Thai flavor. My brother asked me to buy this one for him because he had visited Thailand before and bought it. It's the brand's renowned product. The other two flavors are durian and mango, which are cute and unique. The taste is like strong Thai tea with a hint of durian/mango. It's not too sweet and quite delicious. I really like these two (maybe because I like mango and durian). I gave some to my friends, and they liked it too. The main beaches on Koh Larn are Tawaen Beach, Tonglang Beach, Sangwan Beach, Tian Beach, Samae Beach, and Ivory Bay. Among them, Tawaen Beach is the most popular and where most tour groups go. I chose to spend my vacation at a resort in Pattaya, Thailand. This city is located about 150 kilometers east of Bangkok and is one of Thailand's most famous seaside resorts. Day 1: Beach vacation As soon as I arrived in Pattaya, I was attracted by the beautiful beaches and blue sky. I chose to stay in a resort hotel with a private beach, where I could relax anytime. Day 3: Activity exploration Today I decided to try some adventurous activities. First, I participated in a diving activity. It was my first time diving, but the coaches were very patient and helped me through an exciting diving experience. Under the sea, I saw various strange marine creatures. Their beauty and mystery left a lasting impression on me. Next, I arrived at the go-kart track, which is a very popular activity. My friends and I drove the race cars together, experiencing the thrill of speed and adventure. Finally, I arrived at Phoenix Park, which is a magnificent natural park with traditional Thai palaces, gardens, and flowing streams. I strolled here, enjoying the beauty of nature and relaxing my body and mind. Day 4: Food journey Pattaya's cuisine is very rich and diverse, and I decided to try some local delicacies. First, I went to a small stall and tasted Thai fried chicken, which is the most delicious fried chicken I have ever had. It was crispy and juicy, and paired with Thai-style chili sauce, the taste was excellent. Next, I went to the local night market. There were all kinds of snacks and delicacies here. I tried some local snacks, such as fried insects and scorpions. Although they looked strange, they tasted pretty good. Finally, I arrived at a specialty restaurant and tasted the local seafood, such as lobster and crab. These foods were very fresh and delicious, and I really felt my taste buds enjoying them. Day 5: Shopping trip Today I came to the shopping center in Pattaya. It is a very large shopping mall with all kinds of products inside. I browsed some local handicrafts, such as handmade jewelry and textiles. These things are very exquisite and it's hard for me to resist their temptation. Next, I arrived at a local street market where there were all kinds of small shops and stalls. I bought some local specialties, such as red turtle cakes and coconut candy. They tasted really good and were great gifts for friends and family. At night, I arrived at the local night market where there were all kinds of goods and food. I bought some exquisite Thai handicrafts and also tasted some local delicacies, such as grilled skewers and stir-fried rice noodles, which were really delicious. Day 6: Hot Spring Fitness Today I chose to relax and came to the local hot spring fitness center. Here, there are various fitness equipment and facilities, where I can exercise my body and relax my mind. Next, I arrived at the local hot spring bath, which is a very interesting place. Here, I can enjoy hot springs and massages, as well as many other therapeutic measures. Finally, I arrived at the hotel's spa center, where there are various beauty and massage services. I chose a Thai massage, which was a very comfortable and relaxing process, making me feel the friendliness and warmth of the Thai people. Seventh day: Return to nature. Today I chose a return-to-nature trip and came to Coral Island in Pattaya. This is a magnificent marine ecosystem with a variety of marine creatures and coral reefs. My friends and I took a small boat to the island, where we can swim, snorkel, and fish. We saw various marine creatures, such as anemones, small fish, and starfish. Here, I experienced the beauty and tranquility of nature, and felt the power and mystery of the natural world. This seven-day trip has made me deeply fall in love with Pattaya. This city not only has beautiful beaches and natural landscapes, but also rich and colorful culture, food and activities. It's better to register for Grab in your home country because it requires a verification code, which might be hard to receive in Bangkok (I couldn't receive the verification code at all in Bangkok, luckily Fei had completed the registration beforehand, otherwise it would have been 'embarrassing'). Grab has a good response time for calling a ride (including motorcycles), and the prices are fixed. If you're worried about credit card fraud, you can ask the driver to accept cash, and they won't refuse, but try to prepare small change to avoid issues with change. Tuk-tuk: The local app is called Muvimi, which prevents you from being overcharged, but you can't call a tuk-tuk from another district, and you can't withdraw money after topping up, which is a bit inconvenient. ✓Book hotel + flight (prepare electronic itinerary) The airline staff said that customs might ask about it when entering the country. If you have a round-trip ticket, 10,000 Thai Baht is enough; if you don't have a return ticket, you need 20,000 Thai Baht (they just want you to spend money). In reality, when entering through Don Mueang, they didn't ask anything, it was all electronic scanning and fingerprinting.
