Kannon Zenji is a temple built on the site of the Shingon sect temple founded by Gyoki about 1300 years ago, and the current building was rebuilt in the Edo period. It was an interesting area because it was a key point to China, so it seems to have been open since ancient times. The principal image is a standing statue of Senju Kannon, a nationally designated important cultural property built at the end of the Heian period, and it seems that pilgrimage from the city of Nagasaki has been popular since ancient times.
