Point Betsie The lighthouse is beautiful. The color of the lighthouse, the blue sky and the wave action of the water all combine to take some great photos. It’s been at least five years since my last visit, when it was early April and it was cold. The visit was on a warm summer day at night, so the sun was about to set and the light was perfect. A few kite surfers were out, which only added to the scene. Probably the only regret is that there seems to be a lot of sand lost on the beach, blown inland, covered with benches and fences. Only the top of the fence is visible. If you are a fan, this is a must-visit lighthouse.
