A lovely day in the splendid Nottingham City

I recently had the pleasure of spending a day in Nottingham city center, and it was truly a memorable experience. Here's a breakdown of my day: Breakfast at The Yolk Cafe: My day started with a delightful breakfast at The Yolk Cafe. The cozy ambiance and the delicious breakfast options made for a perfect beginning to my day in Nottingham. I had the opportunity to try the Cowgirl and French Toast with maple bacon and banana. For drinks we had an americano and a flat white. The service was excellent as the staff were super friendly and attentive, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to start my morning adventure in Nottingham. Nottingham Robin Hood Castle: The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Nottingham Castle. As a fan of history and legends, I was enthralled by the rich heritage and the connection to the legendary outlaw, Robin Hood. The castle itself is a fascinating blend of history and modernity, and the views from the top were breathtaking. Wollaton Hall, Gardens, and Deer Park: My next stop was Wollaton Hall, Gardens, and Deer Park. The stunning architecture of the hall, set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens, was a visual treat. There was a museum in the building consisting of the bulding's history, a T-Rex exhibition, different stuffed/replica of animals that were extinct or going to be exctinct. All except 1 museum was free of charge for entry. I then went exploring the super huge and green park. I was sad to not spot a deer at the start. However just nice before I left, I got to see a majestic deer roaming freely which added a touch of nature's beauty to my day. It was a peaceful and serene escape within the bustling city. Old Market Square: A visit to Nottingham would be incomplete without spending time at Old Market Square. The heart of the city, it's bustling with activity and surrounded by shops, cafes, and street performers. I enjoyed people-watching and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Dinner at Bistrot Pierre Nottingham: To end my day on a high note, I had dinner at Bistrot Pierre Nottingham. The French cuisine was a delightful departure from the day's explorations, and the restaurant's elegant setting made it a perfect choice for a relaxing evening. The menu offered a delectable array of options, and the service was impeccable. We ordered a rump steak and a roast sirloin off the sunday roast menu. #deer #nottingham
