MoreLocated on the shore of Dishui Lake in Lingang, the Shanghai Planetarium officially opened to the public on July 18, 2021. The exhibition hall has a construction area of 38,000 square meters. The main building imitates the orbit of celestial bodies in a beautiful spiral shape. The circular skylight, inverted dome and dome theater form a landmark "three-body" structure, which jointly interprets the laws of celestial movement. The exhibition hall has the vision of "shaping a complete view of the universe". The main exhibition is divided into three parts: "Home", "Universe" and "Journey", which stimulates people's curiosity and encourages people to feel the starry sky and understand the universe.
The completion and opening of the Shanghai Planetarium marks a new stage in the development of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum into a super-large comprehensive science and technology museum cluster that integrates science and technology museums, natural history museums, and planetariums. It will further demonstrate Shanghai's urban soft power, promote high-quality development of the museum industry in the new era, and better meet the people's growing spiritual and cultural needs.

In the boundless universe, we live in a corner, building a warm home on a blue marble. As our horizons continue to expand, we realize that the solar system and the Milky Way are also our homes, a fertile land that nurtures us. Visitors step into the "Home" exhibition area, follow ancient myths and start a journey to ask the sky, place themselves under realistic stars, and travel between planets. Faced with the various planets in the solar system, we can't help but wonder: Is there water on other planets? Are there lasers? Are there volcanoes? Do meteorites bring life? Who are the neighbors of the sun? Where are we in the universe?

China Questions the Sky
Located on 1F
After thousands of years of diligent observation, Chinese astronomy has produced a vast record of astronomical phenomena. The unique oriental thinking has created a unique astronomical system that closely links astronomical phenomena with the fate of the empire, as well as a complex calendar system that is orderly inherited and continuously improved. With the collision of Western learning and the eastward spread of scientific knowledge, the continuous introduction of scientific knowledge eventually changed the form and function of traditional astronomy, and also made Shanghai the starting point of modern Chinese astronomy.

Shanghai Planetarium, tickets are difficult to grab, and the alarm clock is on time. Luck is very good, there is still a space in the parking lot at the door. After staying for a whole day, from opening the door to closing the door, each floor slowly strolled and learned a lot of knowledge. Suitable for parent-child travel, very recommended!
Shanghai Planetarium (Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Branch) is a large science venue invested by the Shanghai government. It is located in the new area of Lingang, China's (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, close to the drip lake station of Metro Line 16. Shanghai Planetarium covers an area of 5.8 10,000㎡ and a construction area of 3.8 10,000㎡. It is the largest planetarium in the world. Shanghai Planarium takes the vision of "shaping a complete view of the universe" as a vision, and strives to stimulate people's curiosity, encourage people to feel the starry sky, understand the universe, and think about the future. Since the opening of the planetarium, everyone knows that it is difficult to find a ticket, especially during winter and summer vacations and holidays. Today, I want to tell you a shocking secret! Listen, you can't get tickets online, and you can go to the scene for movie tickets. There are live tickets every day! This is a secret I have discovered on the ground, and it is not officially revealed.
Teacher Chen explained very well. Although the overall itinerary is tired, there is a lot of knowledge to learn 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
Because I didn’t buy tickets, I can only buy this. The children especially like it. The planetarium is really good. The explanation is also very good. I sent a gift to the children. There are many people inside. I can’t hear it clearly, but I am very satisfied.

Because of the planetarium in the morning, I checked in early and upgraded the big bed room for free. There are washing machines and fitness equipment, and I went to wait for a dynamic bicycle after dinner. It is 680 meters away from Shanghai Planetarium, and it is just a good distance to walk with a 6-year-old child. It is1.4 kilometers away from the Navigation Museum, acceptable, and still next to the Dishui Lake. Very good stay experience
