A quiet and perfect place for a leisurely walk. I especially like the greenery of the bank from spring to summer, and the red of the water gate shines and becomes a picture. There is Arakawa Chisui Museum nearby, so you can have a toilet and a break (with vending machines).
A place where you want to stop by while taking a walk, cycling, and running on the riverbed of Arakawa. The vermilion gate is beautiful in the blue sky in the sunny winter. Especially in the morning is recommended.
A beautiful old red water gate. 1 It's a nice place to spend a leisurely day! !!

Iwabuchi Water Gate is a water gate built in Arakawa, Kita-ku, Tokyo, and there is a new Iwabuchi Water Gate, commonly known as the former Iwabuchi Water Gate, commonly known as the Akamizumon, and the new Iwabuchi Water Gate, commonly known as the Aomizumon. Meiji 43 Since the Great Flood that occurred in the year caused great damage to downtown Tokyo, the former Iwabuchi Water Gate was created by the Meiji government to prevent the flood of Arakawa from flowing into the Sumida River as a countermeasure. The former Iwabuchi water gate has already finished operation and finished its role, and the Iwabuchi water gate has taken over and is in operation, but the former Iwabuchi water gate is architecture ...
It is also a fishing spot because the flow of the Sumida River and Arakawa can be descended to the shore in an area where the flow of the Sumida River and Arakawa is complicated and branched. The red gate is retro and has a strong presence and is picturesque. It is crowded with locals 々 for cycling and dog walks from early morning.
