    Monitoring at sea を

    Original Text

It is located in Cape Soya Peace Park. It is a place made with a watchtower to monitor the movement of the Russian Navy. It is said that it is the only existing building in Wakkanai in the Meiji era. Naturally, it is in a place with a good view due to its role, so it can be used as an observatory.

    I felt history.

    Original Text

When I came to Cape Soya and returned to the parking lot, I saw it with the lighthouse. It was on a hill in Cape Soya Park opposite Cape Soya, so I went there immediately. I walked up, but I could drive up. It seems that it was built to monitor the Baltic Fleet in a building from the Meiji era, and I felt the history. I could climb up and see Cape Soya from the hill, but the wind was really strong and I almost fell from the stairs with the wind.

    Built in the soya Strait

    Original Text

A former Navy facility built in a glance at the Soya Strait. Located on a hill overlooking the Soya Strait, it used to be a watch over the Strait and is now the best spot to see (see). However, I can't put it inside, and there is nothing inside even if I look through the window from the outside. I thought that the height around this facility would be a good observation spot.

    Zonggu Strait を Monitoring

    Original Text

A watchtower on a hill in Cape Soya Park. You cannot enter inside. Built in 1902 by the Japanese Navy to monitor the Strait of Soya. The walls are made of stone stacked and look very sturdy.

    Meizhi Times の Buildings

    Original Text

It was written on the explanation board that it was a building from the Meiji era, which was designated as a tangible cultural property of Wakkanai City. Currently, it is a building that seems to be an observatory built on a hill of Cape Soya Park, and many tourists were on the tower.
