M49***55:“Since the 5th century AD, monks have come to the mountains to practice. After hundreds and thousands of years of unremitting efforts, there were more than 20 monasteries in Meteora. With the hardships of the years, only six remain.”

乖小咪:“The Monastery of the Holy Trinity is the highest monastery in Meteora. The monastery is built on a cliff, overlooking the surrounding scenery. This monastery is a women's monastery. The nuns here look very poor. It is definitely a good place to purify the soul.”
137***66:“The Varlaam Monastery is named after its founder, the ascetic monk Varlaam, and is well-known. It was abandoned for two hundred years until two wealthy monks rebuilt it and saved it to this day. There is a suspension bridge between two huge stones, and you have to walk across it with fear to enter the monastery. Before entering, ladies must wrap themselves in square floral cloth provided by the monastery as a skirt. The small courtyard is very delicate and beautiful, and the sunlight creates dreamy colors on the simple window glass. Here, I saw monks for the first time. I happened to meet a craftsman working, and I could see how the walls of Byzantine buildings were built.”
乖小咪:“The viewing platform of Meteora is high up, and you can take in the beautiful scenery of the entire Meteora. The view here is very wide, and several monasteries on the top of Meteora are clearly visible. It is an excellent viewing location and very suitable for taking pictures.”
