205***35:“Rosario Church is also called the Rainbow Glass Church.
The church adopts a modern architectural structure, which is completely different from the traditional church style. There is no pillar in the hall, which is spacious and open. There are no other lighting facilities except for a few dim incandescent lamps in front of the holy image. The light source in the church comes from natural light. In other words, if there is no sunlight, most of the hall will be dark, like an old warehouse. When the sunlight shines in through the stained glass of the window, what appears in front of us is a fantastic colorful church. We entered the church in the morning to visit, and the external light only illuminated 1/3 of the hall. It is said that from 2 pm to 4 pm on sunny days, the entire hall will be illuminated by sunlight, and there will be colorful translucent inlays on the south side and top walls of the church. This kind of colorful light and shadow is a fusion of colors and dynamic changes. How can the fusion and transformation of light and color not make people marvel at the dreamy creativity of the architect? There is only one such building in the world, which can be called the first magical modern building in El Salvador or Central America.
It is reported that the church was built on the location of the oldest church in the city of El Salvador. The original old church was destroyed by earthquake and fire. The rainbow glass church was built in 1971 and was designed by the famous architect Rubén Martínez, who once said that "every detail of the building is intended to create a space where Catholics can find light and peace and commune with the divinity of God".”Where to stay
