Tania Akter (Sumi):“Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a must-visit spiritual and cultural landmark in Kandy. The temple’s stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and serene atmosphere create a truly divine experience. The daily rituals and historical significance of the sacred tooth relic add to its charm. However, it can get quite crowded, especially during ceremonies. Dress modestly and be prepared for security.”
Tania Akter (Sumi):“Kandy Lake, nestled in the heart of Kandy, Sri Lanka, is a serene and picturesque destination perfect for a leisurely stroll. Surrounded by lush greenery and historic sites, the lake offers breathtaking views, especially at sunrise and sunset. The peaceful atmosphere, diverse birdlife, and charming lakeside benches make it an ideal spot to relax. While the walk around the lake is pleasant, occasional traffic noise can be a minor drawback. Overall, it’s a must-visit for nature lovers.”

It is located in the city of Kandy in the central province of Sri Lanka, adjacent to the Mahavili River (Mahaweli River), covering an area of about 60 hectares.”
yangduoduo17:“This sanctuary is pure beauty! It's so peaceful and a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are many different paths you can take in the park, some shorter for those who don't want to walk too far, and some longer for those who want to walk longer. There is also a bike path. There are also lots of monkeys, which is really fun! We also spotted a turtle in the river. This place is definitely underrated and should be brought to the attention of more people visiting Kandy!”
Laura Vicens:“Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage offers a unique chance to see rescued elephants up close. Watching them bath in the river was a highlight. Arrive early to avoid crowds and get the best views from nearby cafés. Such a memorable experience!”
