KOMATSU791110:“It was built by the Soviet Union during World War II to resist the invasion of German fascism. It runs through the entire western Belarus. It is 1,200 kilometers long. From the Karelian Isthmus in the north to the Black Sea coast in the south. It is composed of 23 huge fortified areas, including more than 4,000 permanent firepower points, all made of reinforced concrete and special materials. The defense line of the Minsk section is about 140 kilometers long, with a total of 327 permanent firepower points scattered at a depth of 1-6 kilometers. The walls of the fortifications are 1.5 meters thick, how strong it is! (For World War I) There are 76mm artillery and Maxim machine guns in the fortifications, as well as periscopes for observation. The power generation equipment installed in 1938 is still in operation today. There are side defense bunkers everywhere, and various engineering obstacles and minefields in front. No two firepower points in the fortifications are exactly the same, but are built according to specific tasks and terrain. Some firepower points are one-story, while others are double-story, with air-raid shelters underneath.”
LikeGor:“Belarus, formerly known as Belarus, is a Soviet republic and an independent country like Russia. Without the hustle and bustle of a big city, it is a visa-free country worth exploring.”
