The car was clean and tidy. I added comprehensive insurance at the counter, and returning it was quick and easy, taking only half a minute. It was a base model, lacking navigation, radar, or anything else, but it was just enough for driving. Thankfully, it worked with CarPlay. The pickup time was incredibly long. There were two people ahead of me, and we waited for over an hour. I watched the cars next to me go by one after another, wondering what they were doing. We arrived at the airport a little after 6:00 AM, went through immigration, collected our luggage, and finally got to the hotel at nearly 11:00 PM, forcing us to cancel our trip that night. The insurance added at the counter was almost double the price of what I'd booked directly on the official website. The rental cost over 800 RMB, and adding comprehensive insurance was over 400 RMB. The car I booked online with comprehensive insurance was just over 200 RMB.

I specifically waited until my deposit was returned before leaving this review. After comparing several rental companies, I ultimately chose the established Hertz, which offers no bells and whistles. The airport branch is small, but unmissable. After confirming my order, I picked up the car in the next building, which was a relatively simple process. Unfortunately, the car I chose didn't have a phone holder or a rearview camera, making it unsuitable for beginners. However, it was in excellent condition and very clean. During the inspection, the entire process was recorded for self-protection, and the other party's vehicle registration document clearly indicates any scratches, allowing you to verify them. Japanese cars can be a bit wobbly on the highway, but generally acceptable. Returning the car was also very convenient; I handed over the keys and was off. The deposit was refunded less than a month later, with no fines, only highway tolls.
