Hear international guests Nikki Lam and Phuong Ngo of Hyphenated Projects introduce their work as curators and arts organisers through the lens of the Artspace Aotearoa 2024 annual question “do I need territory?” Hyphenated Projects is a Naarm Melbourne based artist-led network nurturing practice in Asian diasporas. Their work focuses on supporting artists who operate with the hyphens—culturally, socially and geographically. This kaupapa is presented in association with the Satellites’ visiting artists programme. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A. Booking is encouraged but not essential. He is co-director of Hyphenated Projects, Chair of un Projects, a member of the Substation curatorium and holds a PhD from RMIT University. Students are taught how to skate in a warm and friendly environment where they can feel safe and progress at a level that is comfortable for them. While learning the basics of skateboarding, students will also be taught the correct safety measures and skatepark etiquette to prevent injury. Each class has an average of 20-25 girls attend. We're inviting local individuals and groups in the Leigh to Whangateau area to join us to learn more about water quality and stream biodiversity indicators, via our 2-Day SHMAK training.This will be an engaging, hands-on training session which individuals and groups can use to understand the current and ongoing ecological health of their local streams.
