Farm & Forage Camp Returns! This year, LUSH Valley's Urban Agriculture program will be running three sessions of this fun, garden-centered camp. This half-day camp will provide opportunities for kiddos to learn how to plant seeds and seedlings, tend to sustainable gardens, harvest vegetables and herbs, create eco-crafts, and make pickles! Throughout the week, an intentional connection to nature and gardening will be developed, while allowing all creativity to be explored and expressed. This half-day camp will allow young green thumbs to create, garden, and learn for 3 hours. Ages: 5 – 12 Dates: Monday July 14 - Friday July 18th Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Location: Our outdoor classroom is the Tsolum Educational Garden at 4795 Headquarters Road (across from GP Vanier Secondary School, near the Comox Valley Farmers' Market). Kids should bring: Closed-toed shoes (no sandals please) Garden gloves Clothes that can get paint & dirt on them Water bottle Lunch & snacks Sunscreen & hat Notebook & pencil Backpack 2 mason glass jars for making pickles and jam Accessibility: Washroom: There is a porta potty located on the exhibition grounds but it is not wheelchair accessible Parking: Parking lot access at 4795 Headquarters Road If you have any questions, please email maggy@lushvalley.org.
