Join us onWednesday 25th June for a relaxed and creative 'tarot card' modern embroidery workshop over a drink or two!
What better place to get creative than the comfort of your favourite pub, you'll be provided with all the materials and tutorial (with access to the bar to relax while you do it!) all you need to bring is your imagination!
Workshop includes:
2 hours of relaxed embroidery tuition including starting your embroidery, different stitches and embellishment techniques, blending threads and finishing your embroidery
All materials including embroidery hoop and cotton, choice of threads, beads and sequins - a choice of The Sun, The Moon, The Lovers, The Emperess and The Stars embroidery patterns
‘How To’ stitch guide.
Your very own tarot card embroidery to take home and keep!

All abilities welcome including beginners - all patterns are designed for every level of stitching experience!

Business Buzz Harpenden networking sessions are an excellent way to mingle face-to-face with other local businesses in a free-flowing, fun atmosphere.
Designed to work with your schedule, there’s no such thing as late with this two-hour drop-in session. Turn up whenever you like before the event closes at 12 noon and stay for 5 minutes or the full two hours. With no membership and no strings attached, it’s never been easier to meet your local business community.
For just £10+ VAT you’ll get refreshments, a brilliant new set of contacts and the warmest of welcomes. With new people every month and a huge buzz in the room you’re sure to make some great connections; we believe the more you chat, the more business just happens.
We meet every 4th Thursday of the month between 10 am and 12 pm at the same venue.
While you can book on the day, we ask that you purchase your ticket before you set off on your journey.
This makes it much easier to check you in and get you to the coffee as soon as possible!
How it works
When you come to a Buzz you’ll be welcomed by the Buzz team, shown where the coffee is and introduced to some of the other attendees.
We’re here if you need further introductions to more guests, but you’ll find that everyone is really friendly and you can easily move around conversations to network as you like.
The focus is open networking and easy-going conversations so that more business happens between our attendees easily.
At roughly 11 am there is a short announcement section and you’ll find out who is in the room to help facilitate more connections.

Macmillan Cancer Support Charity Quiz Night
We are excited to invite you to our Quiz Night, taking place on Thursday 4th July from 7-9pm at Katherine Warington School. It promises to be a great evening with a variety of exciting themed rounds, suitable for all ages.
You can pre-order some delicious fish and chips, pie and chips, or battered halloumi which will be supplied by Godfrey’s. If you require a gluten free meal please email us and we will try to accomodate your request. There will also be a bar open on the night for you to purchase drinks.
You can either come indvidually, and be added to a team on the night, or as a team, of up to 10 people. All proceeds from the evening will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, so come along for a fantastic evening and help us to support a great cause!

Guided Walk - Get to know Harpenden Common | Harpenden Common

Alex Melson, Green Space Development Manager at Harpenden Town Council, will lead a guided walk around Harpenden Common explaining the green space development plans and activity there. We will learn about the history of the common, the management of its grasslands, woods and ponds.
The event is free, however booking is essential.
We will meet at the Baa Lambs Car Park for a 7.30pm start. The walk will be approximately one hour, following the walk there will be an opportunity to continue discussions at a nearby pub.

It is a short walk from Harpenden Station and from the bus stops on Harpenden High Street and St Albans Road.
The car park is on the left as you walk out of Harpenden on the St Albans Road, just after the Silver Cup. The car park can get busy at this time of year, alternative parking is available on Southdown Road and Leyton Road or in the Station Carpark or the Amenbury Lane Car Park
