The Deaf Look Club organizes events and activities for Portland's Deaf community and their allies. The rides are presented in ASL and English. Are you Deaf, hard of hearing, an ally of the DHH community or just sign curious? Coach Chris will lead rides starting and ending at the Woodstock Cafe, a Deaf-owned coffee shop, on second and fourth Saturday mornings at 10am. Rides will be different each week with a general plan to meander through local quiet streets and head out to the Springwater for relaxed exploring and comradeship. Rides are approx.10-15 mile loops and could be longer depending on the group showing up that day. Join us for our Month Mountain Meetup at Crystal Mountain in Washington! We welcome all women (cis and trans), non-binary, other gender diverse participants! Come on out and shred snow with us on skis or snowboards and make some new mountain friends throughout the day. We aim to meet up at 10am at the base area (look for our banner!) and have the option to disperse or get back out together after lunch time. The optional lunch meetup will be at 1pm- location will be communicated at the morning sign-in. FYI these are NOT guided or teaching days and lift tickets are NOT included in this registration. Discounted group lift tickets may be available- if you need a ticket, please message the group leader, Chelsea about it. These are member run meetups so groups will determine together what trails they want to ride. We will try to have beginner, intermediate and/or advanced groups depending on attendees so be sure to RSVP and note your skill group preference. If you would like to be a group leader (just the person who makes sure no one gets left behind, you don't have to be the front runner or fastest person) please let us know, we always need more!
