Their name, inspired by the Italian word onde (wave), reflects the waves of sound they create, their connection to the San Francisco Bay, and even a playful nod to the waves in their hair. This award-winning ensemble has rapidly garnered accolades, including First Prize in the US International Music Competition's (USIMC) Young Artist Award in Classical Chamber Music (Group B) in 2024, as well as second-place honors in the MIMA Young Artist Competition and the ENKOR International Music Competition. Their talent earned them a coveted masterclass with piano legend Emanuel Ax, where they honed their craft under his insightful guidance. The Onde Trio has captivated audiences across the Bay Area, most recently performing to a full house at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Bowes Center.
