In summer 2025, the Parade Theater Festival with its colorful tents, terraces and restaurants will return to Martin Luther King Park. Whether you're a theater lover or just want to eat pancakes, ride a Ferris wheel and have a good time, this is the place for you. Theater makers and musicians move around the festival grounds and are themselves responsible for promoting their (usually short) performances. These performances take place in tents, outdoors or in secret locations. Surprise yourself!

Bach by Candlelight - BachNachtconcert275 jaar geleden overleed Johann Sebastian Bach op 28 juli 1750. Jaarlijks staan we hierbij stil met een schitterend BachNachtconcert. Evan Bogerd, organist van de Westerkerk Amsterdam, brengt op vrijdag 25 juli een ode aan Bach op het monumentale Duyschot orgel. Het grote Duyschot (1686) orgel is 1 jaar jonger dan Bach. Een voorbeeld van Hollandse barok. Het leent zich daarom ook uitstekend voor de orgelwerken van Bach. De bijzondere akoestiek van de Westerkerk maakt het helemaal af! We'll look at how to present yourself and your work with confidence and professionalism, covering everything from communication with venues to installing your artwork with care. Participants will be encouraged to share past experiences—good, bad, or awkward—and learn from each other in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you’re new to exhibiting or looking to refine your approach, this session will offer tools, insight, and encouragement to help you feel prepared and informed. Expect a blend of practical advice, real-life anecdotes, and an open space to ask the questions you might not feel comfortable asking elsewhere. This workshop is heavily subsidised, but not free, thanks to the generous funding from Leeds Council. But what exactly defines a correct saddle fit? This course offers a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical sessions, exploring the various aspects of saddle fitting. Russell’s current area of research is horse-saddle-rider interaction, spinal kinematics in horses when ridden over ground and the effect that rider asymmetry has on equine back movement. In addition, Russell collaborates with researchers from around the world on various research projects associated with equine health and performance. He regularly presents his work at international meetings throughout the world and is a consultant for the British Equestrian Federations World Class, Team GBR programme. Russell is a member of the Team GBR’s Scientific Advisory Group, Society of Master Saddlers Scientific Advisory Group and chairs the horse+rider subgroup, part of the International Task force on Laterality in Sports Horses. Mark Fisher, SMS RQSF Mark Fisher left the King’s Troop RHA as the Master Saddler in 2004, after 22 years service. In the army, he competed in eventing where he reached intermediate level and in team chasing up to open level. He has also been involved in show jumping and hunts on a regular basis. Mark is a registered, qualified saddle fitter and regularly lectures and assesses for the Society of Master Saddlers. Mark was fortunate enough to be employed as the official Master Saddler of the London 2012 Olympic games. He also works in conjunction with the British Equestrian Federation on the World Class Programme, operating the Pliance saddle pressure system, which is owned by the British Equestrian Federation. English// (Dutch below) Open for beginners and experienced artists. This will be a guided painting session, with a demo, tips and tricks. Use the lovely garden, as well as provided botanicals, as inspiration! We speak both Dutch and English. Everyone is welcome! €2~ per person (cash or card) suggested donation for materials, coffee/tea included. Use our watercolour materials (10 sets available, first come first served) to make a couple of paintings, or bring your own painting equipment and inspiration pictures. In deze stille clownsvoorstelling neemt Theater Muto je mee in een kijkdoos van objectmanipulatie en traagheid, waarin het publiek van dichtbij wordt ondergedompeld in een intieme en poëtische ervaring. Stef en Fien Geers creëren met minimale middelen een maximale beleving, waarin elk klein gebaar een groots effect heeft. Zomer Musicalkamp in Noord! Location: T.T. Neveritaweg 55 Hou je van zingen? Sta je graag op een podium? En speel je met plezier verschillende personages? Dan is dit zomerkamp precies wat je zoekt! In deze vijfdaagse musicalweek duiken we in de wereld van zang en theater. We beginnen elke ochtend met een speelse warming-up voor stem en lijf. Daarna gaan we aan de slag met musicalliedjes en fantasievolle scènes. Er is volop ruimte voor spelplezier, expressie en het maken van echt contact op het podium. Aan het einde van de week geven we een kort presentatiemoment voor familie en vrienden, waarin we laten zien wat we samen hebben opgebouwd. Over de docent De week wordt geleid door Julia Rosenhart: zangeres, theatermaker en afgestudeerd kleinkunstenaar aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen.
