The "Dress for Success: Monthly Career Readiness Workshop" program includes a series of workshops designed to build a comprehensive understanding of fashion, styling, and grooming.
Our Dress for Success: Monthly Career Readiness Workshops at Don Morphy’s Dallas showroom offer young participants more than just practical career preparation—they provide direct access to real-world insights from dynamic speakers and hands-on learning experiences. Each month, participants engage with
three speakers
who bring unique perspectives, creating a holistic environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.
One of the key speakers is
Dacyn Mofor
, son of our founder Daniel Mofor and fashion director at Don Morphy. Dacyn offers essential fashion tips, teaching participants how to tie a tie and bowtie, while sharing other practical styling tricks. His guidance is not only instructional but also relatable, showing that
confidence and professionalism
can be cultivated at a young age.
In addition to Dacyn, a
young entrepreneur
speaks at each session, sharing their journey of starting a business early in life. Their stories of overcoming challenges, building networks, and pursuing their passion provide practical advice and inspiration for participants to think ambitiously about their own futures.
The third speaker is an
established professional or entrepreneur
who contributes seasoned insights on workplace etiquette, leadership, and long-term career development. This speaker bridges the gap between early career challenges and sustained professional success, providing guidance on how to navigate and grow in a competitive environment.
These workshops empower participants to build a
solid foundation in personal style
, learn to navigate various dress codes, master professional attire, and understand the essentials of grooming and confidence-building. Each month’s workshop reinforces the lessons from the previous session, creating a
cohesive, progressive learning experience
. By the end of the series, participants are well-equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to dress stylishly and appropriately for any occasion, leaving them prepared to make lasting impressions and excel in their professional journeys.
Mission:
This workshop strives to educate and inspire teenagers to embrace fashion as a tool for self-expression and confidence-building. Through interactive workshops and guidance, we aim to teach essential styling techniques, foster creativity, and instill a sense of personal empowerment, ensuring every participant feels confident and stylish in their own skin.
Vision:
This workshop envisions a generation of empowered teenagers who confidently express their unique personalities through fashion, equipped with the knowledge and creativity to dress up for any occasion with style and flair.
Objective:
This workshop aims to empower teenagers by teaching them essential skills and strategies for dressing up confidently and stylishly, fostering self-expression and personal confidence through fashion exploration.

We think the best relationships are forged when we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. Preferring instead to think of the evening as a casual night out where one can truly be themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great venue, a personable host and a staff to assist.
Upon registration, you'll be sent an email inviting you to login to your mobile ‘Smart-Card’. As the event begins, log-in to your scorecard and let the flirting begin. Our platform isn't an app so it requires absolutely no downloading and can be accessed directly from our website, anytime.
Should you have any questions - feel free to ask away. Take the time before the event starts to settle in - have a beverage if you would like and mingle should you wish. Chat up our Hosts for tips or simply to ask, which direction the bar is in! After being shown to your table, the ladies will remain seated for the duration of the event. The gents move from lovely lady to lovely lady every six to seven minutes. Your mobile scorecard gives you the ability to see all the participants attending your event, upload your picture, make your selections and be notified of your matches all from your phone.
Don't fret about figuring out if the person is the one or the perfect person for you. Consider it the date before the date. If you choose someone and they chose you - it's a match. You will be given each others first name and email address. The rest is up to you.

Bishop Arts District FREE Saturday Morning Guided Walking Tour & Optional Lunch After.
Saturday, May 17 - 9:00 am. All are welcome.

Join us for a leisurely stroll through Bishop Arts District, one of the most historic and fun places to visit in Dallas - with of course lots of great art, including shops and murals, and a variety of places to eat.
Bishop Arts District can get crowded during the afternoons and evenings, so let's visit on Saturday morning when there are fewer people. : )
The Bishop Arts District
is a small shopping and entertainment district in north Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA), near the intersection of Bishop Street and Davis Street. The Bishop Arts District is immediately southwest of Downtown Dallas.
The Bishop Arts District
is home to over 60 boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, theaters and art galleries. Located in the heart of North Oak Cliff and only five minutes from downtown, we boast one of Dallas' most unique neighborhoods with our historical shopping district full of great finds, good eats, and good ol' Oak Cliff charm! While many of the shops stay open late on the weekends to provide a fun shop, stroll, and eat environment for visitors, the Bishop Arts District is populated with many independently-owned businesses.

Talk and Book Signing with Bestselling Author Katherine Center | Half Price Books
May 22, 2025 (UTC-5)ENDED
Dallas
Meet bestselling author Katherine Center at your Flagship HPB on Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. Katherine will join us to discuss and sign their latest book,
The Love Haters
. Tickets include a copy of the book.
About
The Love Haters
Katie Vaughn has been burned by love in the past—now she may be lighting her career on fire. She has two choices: wait to get laid off from her job as a video producer or, at her coworker Cole’s request, take a career-making gig profiling Tom “Hutch” Hutcheson, a Coast Guard rescue swimmer in Key West. The catch? Katie’s not exactly qualified. She can’t swim—but pretends that she can.
Plus, Cole and Hutch are brothers. And they don’t get along. Next stop: paradise! But paradise is messier than it seems. As Katie gets entangled with Hutch (the most scientifically good-looking man she has ever seen . . . but maybe a bit of a love hater), along with his colorful aunt Rue and his rescue Great Dane, she gets trapped in a lie. Or two. Swim lessons, helicopter flights, conga lines, drinking contests, hurricanes, and stolen kisses ensue—along with chances to tell the truth, to face old fears, and to be truly brave at last.

RealSimple
’s Best Books of 2020, Amazon's Top 100 Books of 2019, Goodreads' Best Books of the Year, and many more. Bestselling author Emily Henry calls her summer 2022 book,
The Bodyguard

We think the best relationships are forged when we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. Preferring instead to think of the evening as a casual night out where one can truly be themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great venue, a personable host and a staff to assist.
Upon registration, you'll be sent an email inviting you to login to your mobile ‘Smart-Card’. As the event begins, log-in to your scorecard and let the flirting begin. You'll be able to choose whom you wish to meet again, to what degree you like them and have until midnight to submit your final selections for matching. Once the clock strikes midnight - return to our platform to see your matches. You can also access your profile via mobile, tablet or PC.
