Apr 26, 2025 (UTC+8)ENDED
Singapore
Conducted by our Artistic Director, Janek Schergen will explore a wide spectrum of dance topics which will enable individuals gain a greater insight into the world of dance. From something as detailed as the little rituals that dancers perform before they go onstage, to the creative process a choreographer undergoes to create a new work, the audience can expect to enhance their knowledge of dance and also watch our dancers up-close and personal as they perform excerpts from our main performance seasons. Repertory Treasures Dance companies are always asked what is “new” in the repertoire. It becomes a matter of balance to present a mix of heritage repertoire and new works for our audiences. With an expanding repertoire, as the years progress for Singapore Ballet, certain ballets emerge as the identity of the company and new works are influenced by the style of those particular choreographic pieces. What continues and how we move forward is the alchemy that forms the unique identity and perspective of the repertoire for our audiences. We’ll show you what defines us as a dance company and where we are intending to go in future.

Play and Sing Like a Pro - Guided Sessions Come join us for a fun and interactive event where you can hone your musical skills! Following the Play and Sing Like a Pro workshop, these guided sessions are targeted to solidify your foundations, improve your playing and singing abilities, and develop your confidence using a smart guitar. The event will be held at Gyushi - OUE Downtown, where you can enjoy learning in a vibrant and supportive environment. Don't miss out on this opportunity to join a group of like-minded music lovers and take your musical talents to the next level together! Please note: A smart guitar (e.g. LiberLive or Lava Genie) and earphones / headphones are required for this event. Some feedback from participants: I think it's really useful and highly recommended for everyone, especially if you had little guitaring background. Karyn and Sheng Li explained / recap some musical theory so that people with little musical background can still follow. They also shared some quick tricks e.g. efficient ways to transit...and breakdown step by step on what to practice first. So it really helped to accelerate my learning coz now I dont need to figure out myself so much. I was struggling to understand chord sheets and keeping tempo. Many doubts was cleared up and I feel like I can play better now. Yesterday guided session was 💯/ 💯 for me as someone with 0 music background. After the guided session and the play and sing session, the music language suddenly pop in front of the song sheet even on the ones in the apps!! Amazing!!
