After-Hours Vertical Tour @ St. John the Divine, World's Largest Cathedral | The Cathedral of St. John the Divine (Side Entrance btw 111th & 112th St — See Confirmation Email for Important Instructions)
Jun 27, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
New York
Built during the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in upper Manhattan is a product of its time — and one that is still unfinished over 125 years later. But how did the world's largest cathedral end up in New York City? It's time to uncover the history and architecture of the world’s largest cathedral from ground floor to roof.
Join
New York Adventure Club
for an exclusive, after-hours vertical tour of The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the mother church of the Episcopal Diocese of New York and the Seat of its Bishop.
Held after St. John closes to the public, our behind-the-scenes experience at the largest cathedral in the world will include:
A discussion around the
history and story behind the cathedral
, and why it's built in two different architectural styles
An
exclusive look at the
fa
mous Guastavino tile spiral staircase
A
trip all the way up one of the cathedral's spiral staircases
with stops along the way including the triforium, a buttress, and ceiling above the nave — a total of 124 feet
A closer look at stained glass windows, sculptures, and
grand architecture only seen from high above the ground floor
Our experience will
conclude on the roof for
sweeping views of the NYC skyline
!
See you there!
*Please bring water and wear a comfortable pair of shoes as we’ll be doing a lot of walking and stair climbing for the duration of the tour — 10 stories in total!
**Please note that the spiral stairwells are quite narrow, and can be uncomfortable for those with claustrophobia — if you choose to not ascend the cathedral stairs, you may wait on the ground floor for the group to return

Private Tour & Reception @ The Dyckman House, Manhattan's Last Farmhouse | Dyckman Farmhouse
Jun 27, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
New York
If you were to take a time machine back to 18th-century Manhattan, you would come across lush forests, rolling hills, an abundance of wildlife, and small Dutch family farms scattered throughout the countryside. While most of that rural beauty has vanished thanks to 300 years of industrialization, one lone farmhouse has stood the test of time, still in its original plot on bustling Broadway. It's time to explore this important piece of New York history after the doors close to the public.
Join
New York Adventure Club
for an after-hours tour & wine reception at the Dyckman Farmhouse — built in 1784, this Dutch Colonial style farmhouse is the last remaining one of its kind in Manhattan.
Our private experience at this hidden gem in Manhattan will include:
Stories
around the Dyckman family
, rural Northern Manhattan landscape, and a lifestyle that disappeared during the transformation from farming community to urban neighborhood
A private, after-hours tour
through the historic rooms and garden of the 238-year-old Dyckman farmhouse
A wine & cheese
reception in the backyard garden
, which includes a small reproduced smokehouse from 1916, a well, and a Military Hut that British troops would have lived in during the early days of the Revolutionary War
See you there!
*The farmhouse and outside garden can only be accessed via a flight of stairs

Jun 28, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
New York
The Swing Commanders take well crafted songs from the thirties to the fifties, from American Songbook classics to Western Swing and Novelty songs, and overlay them with lush vocal harmonies and hot solos. The rhythms, varying from ballads to jive to quicksteps, are great for dances, theatre shows, and parties.
The Swing Commanders have appeared, often headlining, at most of the UK’s top Vintage and Country Music festivals. They are loved by fans of Jazz, Country, Swing and Blues, and find it easy to fill dancehalls with lindy hoppers, modern jivers, line, partner and social dancers. They play all over the UK, regularly tour Europe and when they can, cross the pond to visit the US! The band members have a wealth of musical experience, from bar room to classical concert hall, as well as an understanding of dance and theatre.
This results in a stage show that is technically precise and wildly entertaining. Everyone involved loves performing the music, and this shines through. People who experience the band for the first time are amazed at the energetic showmanship, the instrument swapping, the intricate arrangements, and sophisticated vocal blend. This isn’t a nostalgia trip or Rat Pack karaoke. It is fine songs played joyfully and brilliantly.
